A four-goal outburst from Zack Shane propelled the Fruitport boys soccer team to a 5-2 victory over Jenison on Thursday night in an O-K Black Conference game.

Shane scored two first half goals to erase an early 1-0 deficit to give the Trojans a 2-1 advantage at halftime.

Fruitport increased its lead to 3-1 five minutes into the second half on a goal from Eli VerMerris.

Shane added two second half goals after Jenison cut its deficit to 3-2.

Logan Fielding chipped in with two assists for the Trojans while Bryce Lanore contributed with one.

Fruitport is now 3-4 on the season and 2-0 in league and will face Mona Shores on Saturday.
