The North Muskegon football team handled its business Friday night, blanking Hart 26-0 in a West Michigan Conference matchup.

Christian Brooks started the scoring with an eight-yard touchdown run with 9:55 remaining in the first quarter, giving the Norse a 7-0 lead.

North Muskegon added a safety by Alex Wolski with 8:50 left in the first quarter to increase its lead to 9-0.

Chandler Edwards increased the Norse lead to 16-0 on a 54-yard touchdown scamper.

Mack Young then found Edwards for a 32-yard passing touchdown with 46 seconds left in the second quarter to give North Muskegon a 23-0 halftime lead.

The lone second half score was a 34-yard field goal by Dylan Hoffman with 47 seconds left in the game.

Edwards totaled 211 rushing yards and one touchdown on 16 carries for the Norse and also had 32 yards receiving. Brooks finished with 70 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.

Brooks led the North Muskegon defense with 10 tackles while TJ McKenzie and LeQuan Hooper each had an interception.

Hart was led by Orian Torres with 155 yards rushing on 21 carries while Jesse McGhan finished with five tackles.

North Muskegon is now 5-2 overall and 4-2 in conference play while Hart falls to 1-6 on the season and 1-5 in league play.
