The Spring Lake volleyball team a tri-match on Thursday night, posting a 2-0 against a competitive field in Fruitport and Whitehall.
The Lakers swept Fruitport by scores of 25-21 and 15-13 then defeated Whitehall 25-13 and 25-18.
Jenna Core led the Lakers with 14 kills and four blocks while Lauren Hellman had 11 kills and 11 digs.
The Lakers improve to 24-4 overall with the two wins.
The Trojans posted a 1-1 record, cruising against Whitehall with scores of 25-13 and 25-15 before falling to Spring Lake.
Fruitport was paced by Jordyn Carlyle with 20 kills while Rachel Paulsen added 19 digs to lead the defense.
The Trojans are now 21-16-2 on the season and 6-1 in league play.
The Vikings fell in both matches to Spring Lake and Fruitport.
Whitehall was led by Abby Seeger with nine kills and Clara Moore with six kills. \
Katelyn Goodrich chipped in with 23 assists while Gianna Megna contributed with 23 digs on the defensive side.
The Vikings are now 18-10-3 overall and 5-1 in conference action following the tri-match.
