The Spring Lake girls golf team won a Division 3 regional championship on Thursday at Catke Golf Club in Big Rapids.

The Lakers finished with a team score of 372, followed by second-place Big Rapids (380) and third-place Coopersville (418).

Spring Lake’s Hannah Klein was the individual regional champion, shooting an 84. Rounding out the Laker lineup were Madelyn Nelson (2nd place, 87), Phoebe Saunders (third place, 88), Alana Sprague (28th, 113) and Kayla Raschke (46th, 132).

The Lakers advance to the Division 3 state finals next weekend.

In Division 4, North Muskegon finished third in the regional at Milham Park in Kalamazoo and qualified for the state finals.

The Norse shot a team score of 368, 17 shots behind regional champion Kalamazoo Hackett.

Abby Grovel of North Muskegon was the individual regional champion with a score of 79. Lindsey Bliss was third overall for the Norse for an 85, followed by Mya Gonzalez (12tt, 97), Sarah Staniforth (23rd, 107) and Georgie Kinsman (30th, 111).

In Division 1, Grand Haven’s Bekah Schrader finished 9th overall in a regional tournament in Grandville and qualified as an individual for the state finals.
