The Fruitport soccer team won a Division 2 district matchup over Sparta 5-0 on Tuesday night to advance to the semifinals.
Zack Shane, who scored all five goals on the evening, continues to break the record books at 
Fruitport. Shane broke the school record for most goals in a season.
Jeremiah Bosse recorded two assists for Fruitport.
The Trojan defense recorded their fourth shutout in a row. Austin Golden, Logan Fielding, Brendan Kemme, and Kaleb Krueger anchored the defense.
Fruitport’s goalkeeper Connor Hines stopped eight shots on goal.
The Trojans are 13-7 overall on the season and will host Coopersville on Thursday at 7 p.m. in a district semifinal game.
