The Muskegon Catholic volleyball squad cruised past defending district champion Fruitport Calvary Christian in three straight sets on Friday night in the Class D district title match.

The Crusaders defeated the host by service scores of 25-14, 25-15 and 25-6.

Muskegon Catholic, which is now 30-14 on the season, will face the winner of Mesick and Fife Lake Forest Area in the Class D regional semifinals on Tuesday at Big Rapids Crossroads Academy.

The Crusaders were led by Zoie Price with 10 kills, six aces and seven digs.

Lauren Doriot and Abby Zelenka each added seven kills for MCC, while Amelia Heminger chipped in with 28 assists and Calvinnae Simmons contributed with four blocks.
