The Pentwater volleyball team won its fifth straight Class D district championship on Thursday with an easy three-set victory over Walkerville.
The set scores were 25-7, 25-11, and 25-4.
Taylor Wilkinson gave the Falcons a big lift with 22 kills, and also led the defensive effort with 25 digs. Allison McGregor had 31 assists.
Terra Cluchey contributed 19 digs and Julia Hall who had 10 kills and 14 digs.
“It was a great night of volleyball,” said Pentwater Coach Kerry Newberg. “The girls played great. Taylor and Julia dominated at the net and Terra played wonderful defense. I hope we can keep it rolling into next week.”
The Falcons, now 36-1-7 on the season, advance to next week’s Class D regionals.
