The Reeths-Puffer boys basketball team used a big second quarter to claim a 52-44 victory over Ludington on Tuesday in non-conference action.
Leading 11-10 after the first quarter, the Rockets outscored the Orioles 18-4 in the second to head into the locker room up 29-14.
Ludington cut into that lead in the third quarter, leaving the Rockets with a 34-26 edge going into the fourth.
Kaleb Mitchelson was big down the stretch for the Rockets, knocking down eight of eight from the line to push Reeths-Puffer to the victory.
Mitchelson led the Rockets (1-1) with 12 points while Josh Jordan added 11.
Josh Laman had nine points and 10 rebounds for Ludington. Jayden Hathaway totaled nine points and six rebounds.
