The Ravenna boys basketball team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 36-28 victory over Hesperia on Tuesday in a non-league clash.

Ryan Osmer led the Bulldogs with 10 points and added nine rebounds, three assists and three steals. Jacob May chipped in with 10 points while Josh Cox had seven.

Hesperia, now 0-2, was hurt by missing 14 of 21 free throws. Jake Klemundt led the Panthers with eight points, five rebounds and four steals.

MONTAGUE 67, MANISTEE 58 – Hunter Mosher scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Wildcats to a victory. Manistee jumped out to a 15-9 lead after the first quarter, but Montague got hot in the second, scoring 24 points to take a 33-26 lead into the half. The Wildcats led 47-37 after the third quarter. Sebastian Archer had a team-high 18 points for Montague while Luke Marsh tallied 14 points and seven rebounds.

KENT CITY 61, GRANT 51 – The Eagles outscored the Tigers 20-5 in the second quarter to gain their margin of victory. Kent City (3-0, 1-0) played stifling defense against Grant’s leading scorer, Carter Chase, holding him to just seven points on the night. The Eagles were led by Brenden Geers and Fraser Wilson with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

SPARTA 56, FREMONT 41– Logan Karnemaat’s double-double – 10 points and 10 rebounds – was not enough for the Packers. Fremont was hurt by 25 turnovers in the contest. Fremont (2-1) trailed by 20 early in the third quarter and shrunk its deficit to seven heading into the fourth, but Sparta responded with five triples to pull away. Carter Moon had nine points for the Packers.

TRI-UNITY CHRISTIAN 48, WM CHRISTIAN 36 – A pesky Tri-Unity defense held WMC to a season-low 36 points. The Warriors trailed 7-3 at the first stop, 20-15 at halftime and 31-22 going into the final quarter. Hayden Hubers led the Warriors with 13 points and Brant Zeerip added 10.
