Aubrey Goorman’s 15 point, eight rebound and seven assist performance led the Western Michigan Christian girls basketball team to a 53-23 win on Friday in a non-league contest.

Anna Systema added 10 points, six rebounds and four steals for the Warriors while Jenna Houskamp added nine points.

The Warriors led 12-2 after the first quarter, 23-9 at halftime and 38-17 after three.

The Trojans were led by Kennah VerMerris and Ellie Fisher with six points each while Syndney Bol swiped four steals.

REETHS-PUFFER 40, SPRING LAKE 37 – The contest was tied 12-12 after the first quarter, the Rockets grabbed a 20-17 halftime advantage and led 33-22 heading into the final stanza. The Lakers (4-2) attempted a comeback, outscoring Reeths-Puffer by a 15-7 margin in the fourth before falling short. Spring Lake was led by Linsey Paggeot with 16 points while Jenna Core added nine points and 11 rebounds.

PENTWATER 41, HESPERIA 33 – The Falcons were paced by Taylor Wilkinson with 15 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Pentwater trailed 14-5 after the first quarter and 22-15 at halftime before gaining a 28-26 advantage after three buzzers. The Falcons sealed the win with a 13-7 fourth quarter run. Madi Wagner and Terra Cluchey each chipped in with eight points for Pentwater.

KENT CITY 57, RAVENNA 13 – The Eagles (5-2, 2-0) jumped out to a 27-1 lead after the first quarter, led 38-3 at halftime and had a commanding 51-8 after three stanzas. Kenzie Bowers paced Kent City with 20 points, while Jenna Bowers added 13 and Audrey Dreyer chipped in with 12.

HART 51, WALKERVILLE 29 – Yasmine Colon 20-point performance led the Pirates to a win in the Oceana Holiday Tournament. Hart (4-3, 2-2) jumped out to a 19-2 lead after the first quarter, led 29-7 at halftime and had a 43-17 advantage after three. Landry Tate chipped in with 10 points for the Pirates while Tressa Swihart added eight.

EAST GRAND RAPIDS 45, MUSKEGON 41 – The Big Red trailed 9-2 after the first quarter, then tied the game 19-19 at the halftime break. Muskegon led 34-32 after the third quarter but were outscored by a 15-7 margin in the final stanza. Daz’sha Day led the Big Reds with 14 points, six assists and five steals while Diynasti Dowell added eight points and four rebounds.
