Holton wrestling team begins season 2-0, while Montague wrestling team opens up season 0-2 at Holton quad

The Holton wrestling team won both of its matches on Wednesday to open the season.

Holton defeated Ludington 60-21 before defeating Montague 54-43.

Montague finished its night by losing to Holton 71-5.

Winning both of their matches for the Red Devils were Cody Moreen (103), Graham Resterhouse (112), Anthony Workman (125), Dylan Robeck (171), and Garrett Lulofs (215).

Red Devil wrestlers who won one match on Wednesday were Ryker LaFlame (135), David Plekes (140), Mitch Ross (145), Kaiden McDonnell (189), and Cam Jones (285).

Matthew Lipka (145) went undefeated for Montague on the night while teammates David Hernandez (130), Daniel Lipka (140), Jordan Aguilara (160), and Brendan Kahl (189) all won once.
