Ludington girls basketball team defeats Muskegon Heights in Lakes 8 game

The Ludington girls basketball squad held on to defeat Muskegon Heights 41-37 on Friday in a Lakes 8 contest.

The Orioles led 10-9 after the first quarter, increased their lead to 21-14 at halftime and had a 31-23 advantage through three quarters.

The Tigers outscored Ludington by a 14-10 margin in the final stanza but failed to complete a comeback.

Ludington was led by Mackenzie Luce with 12 points while Mackenzie Howe added 11.

Jakayla Anderson paced Muskegon Heights with 16 points.
