The Hesperia girls basketball squad overcame a halftime deficit and defeated Mason County Eastern 56-52 in non-league competition on Monday night.

The Panthers led 15-13 after the first quarter and trailed 33-23 at the halftime break. Hesperia bounced back with a 27-6 third quarter run to take a 47-39 lead heading to into the fourth frame, then held on for the win.

Hesperia was led by Emily Bayle with 16 points and five steals while Alyssa Miller added 10 points, nine rebounds, four steals and five assists.

Ellie Palmer chipped in with 11 points for the Panthers and Ally Bayle contributed with nine points, 11 rebounds and six assists.
