The Spring Lake boy’s basketball team nipped Rockford 48-46 in overtime on Tuesday in a non-league tilt.
The Lakers trailed 21-19 at halftime and 34-31 after three quarters. They managed to tie the score and force overtime by outscoring the Rams 9-6 in the fourth quarter.
Spring Lake had an 8-6 edge in OT.
Sam Johnson and Griffin Lorimer combined for 24 points and 17 rebounds for the Lakers, who improved to 2-0 on the season.
