The Muskegon girls basketball team hauled out the heavy weapons to roll to a 92-50 non-league victory over a good Kent City team on Tuesday.

The Big Reds, now 7-2 on the season, led 24-18 after one quarter, then opened things up with a 31-8 advantage in the second quarter.

Daz’sha Day scored a game-high 26 points and had four assists for the Big Reds. Alyza Winston, a transfer from Mona Shores who recently became eligible, rolled up 25 points, 10 assists and six rebounds. Deshonna Day added 18 points and three steals and Diynasti Dowell had nine points and five boards.

Kenzie Bowers led Kent City, now 8-3, with 21 points while Zara Weber added 12.
