North Muskegon’s TJ McKenzie caught a hot hand in the Norse’ 69-58 comeback win over West Michigan Conference host Mason County Central on Tuesday.

McKenzie nailed eight 3-pointers to finish with a game-high 32 points.

North Muskegon relied on a 19-2 third quarter run after trailing 37-30 early in the quarter. MCC held a 31-28 lead at halftime.

John Hayhurst also led the Norse with 10 points.

The Spartans were led by Jeff Carrier with 18 points.

MONTAGUE 58, RAVENNA 54 – The Wildcats led the entire game and withstood a late fourth quarter come-back by the Bulldogs. Montague (7-4, 5-4) held a 30-21 lead at the half and 42-33 at the end of the third before Ravenna rallied in the fourth. Montague’s Hunter Mosher scored 18 points while Nick Stever added 11. Josh Cox scored 14 points and Jack Emery added 10 points for the Bulldogs.

NEWAYGO 64, HESPERIA 39 – The Panthers kept the game close only trailing 27-26 at the half, but turnovers hurt Hesperia (2-10, 1-4) in the second half. Jacob Klemundt had a team-high 12 points for Hesperia while Nathan Wybenga added eight points and nine rebounds.

REETHS-PUFFER 63, HASTINGS 30 – Every player scored for the Rockets in a blow out victory. Reeths-Puffer led 13-4 at the end of the first quarter and 26-12 at the half. Carter Fulton led the Rockets with 15 points while Kaleb Mitchelson added 10 points and seven rebounds.

GRAND RAPIDS CATHOLIC 82, LUDINGTON 41 — GRCC put up 35 third-quarter points to roll past Ludington. Josh Laman paced the Orioles with 10 points and Nate Lange scored nine.

PENTWATER 62, FRUITPORT CALVARY 46 — Pentwater took a 23-8 first quarter run and used back-to-back 3-pointers from Glenn Miller in the second quarter to take a 36-15 halftime lead. Miller finished with 15 points, Owen Knudsen tallied 11 points, nine rebounds and five assists and Iain Stewart scored 13 points for the Falcons. Austin Hofman grabbed 12 rebounds and scored six points and Max Stoneman had six points and seven rebounds for Pentwater.

KENT CITY 43, SPARTA 40 – Kent City stayed perfect on the season and held off rival Sparta with a 19 point performance by Brenden Geers. The Eagles (12-0) overcame a 13-9 first-quarter deficit and took a 20-19 lead at halftime. Sparta managed to tie the score 31-31 after the third but the Eagles outscored Sparta 12-9 in the fourth. Eli Carlson added 10 points for Kent City.
