Zara Weber scored a career-high 32 points, with 18 from 3-point range, to lead the Kent City girls basketball game to a 70-21 victory over Holton in Friday CSAA action.

The Eagles jumped out to a 21-4 lead after the first quarter and cruised from there.

Kenzie Bowers added 18 points for Kent City, which improved to 10-3 overall and 6-0 in conference play.

MORLEY STANWOOD 57, HESPERIA 34 – A tough second quarter doomed the Panthers (3-9, 0-5) in a CSAA contest. Trailing just 12-8 after the first, Hesperia was outscored 23-6 in the second quarter and trailed 35-14 at the half. Emily Bayle had a double-double for the Panthers with 12 points and 12 steals while adding eight rebounds and four assists.

O-K BLACK

JENISON 50, FRUITPORT 25 – The Trojans trailed by just four points after one quarter, but couldn’t keep it close against the Wildcats in an O-K Black matchup. Fruitport was led by Kennah VerMerris with seven points. Sydney Bol pulled down eight rebounds.

FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN 77, WM AVIATION ACADEMY 9 – A 33-point performance from Kelsey Richards paved the way for the Eagles. Along with Richards’ big night, the Eagles (10-3, 4-0) got strong contributions from Lizzie Cammenga, who scored 18 points, and Brionna Johnson, who put up a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
