Lauren Ross scored 13 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out seven assists to lead the Reeths-Puffer girls basketball squad to a 40-24 win over Kenowa Hills on Friday in an OK Black Conference game.

The Rockets jumped out to a 12-4 lead after the first quarter, led 24-11 at halftime and had a 31-16 advantage through three quarters.

Emily Caltagirone added 13 points for Reeths-Puffer while Bridget McHugh chipped in with eight points.

MUSKEGON 51, FRUITPORT 11 – The Big Reds held Fruitport to just one point in the second and third stanzas. Daz’sha Day paced Muskegon with 17 points and five assists while Kailyn Nash added 12 points and 14 rebounds. The Big Reds led 10-4 after the first quarter, 25-5 at halftime and 39-6 after the third stanza. The Trojans were led by Emily Dirske with four points.

GRAND RAPIDS CATHOLIC CENTRAL 57, SPRING LAKE 53 – The Lakers failed to hang on to their first half lead and fell short on Friday. Spring Lake led 15-8 after the first quarter and 30-27 at halftime. The Cougars went on a 16-9 third quarter run to take a four-point advantage heading into the final stanza on held on to that lead. Jenna Core paced the Lakers with 12 points, while Madeline Zenas, Linsey Paggeot and Phoebe Saunders each added nine. Zenas also grabbed 14 rebounds.

EAST KENTWOOD 51, GRAND HAVEN 47 – Alli Keyser’s 21-point performance for the Buccaneers (6-2, 0-1) was just not enough to defeat the top team in the state. Grand Haven led 9-8 after the first quarter, trailed 23-21 at halftime and was behind 38-36 heading into the final stanza. Maggie Long added 10 points for the Bucs, while Autumn Buikema and Sophie Mariani each chipped in with eight apiece.
