Gomez has a perfect day, three other MCC Jayhawk wrestlers place at the Alma Open

The Muskegon Community College wrestling team kicked off its Christmas break rust on Saturday at the Alma Open.

The Jayhawks had four wrestlers place in the top five, with Benny Gomez (125) leading the way with a 3-0 record and a first-place finish in his weight class.

Baker Hadwan (197) went 3-1 on the day for a second place finish while Dren Bratrum (149) finished fourth with a 4-2 record.

Jojo Dowdell (157) captured a fifth place finish with a 4-2 record for the Jayhawks.
