The Western Michigan Christian girls held on for a 56-47 win over Manistee in Lakes 8 action.

A strong defensive first half helped anchor the WMC, which is now 11-2. The Warriors led 23-11 at the half, but let the advantage slip to 34-27 heading into the fourth. Both offenses heated up in the fourth, combining for 42 points, The Warriors did just enough to hold the led.

Aubrey Goorman led the way for WMC with 25 points and seven rebounds, while Anna Sytsema added 13 points and seven rebounds.

LUDINGTON 70, ORCHARD VIEW 19 – Mackenzie Howe paced Ludington (9-3, 5-1) with 18 points while Lindsey Holmes and Zoee Zatarga each added 11. Orchard View (0-10, 0-5) was led by De’Nyah Oakes with eight points.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 47, MUSKEGON HEIGHTS 13 – The Crusaders, now 9-2 overall and 4-2 in the conference, held the Tigers scoreless in the third quarter to pull away. Faith Anderson led MCC with 12 points and14 rebounds. Hannah Ladd added 10 points and four assists, while Jailyn Johnson totaled seven points and four assists.
