The Muskegon Heights boys basketball team held off a last-second effort by North Muskegon to win 58-56 in a non-league game on Monday night.

With six seconds remaining and the score 58-55 in favor of the Tigers, North Muskegon was fouled shooting a three pointer and had a chance to tie the game.

The Norse split its first two free throws and Muskegon Heights was able to run out the close after grabbing the rebounded off the intentional miss at the line for the Norse.

Dequan Walker led the Tigers (2-5, 1-3) with 14 points while Keishon Watson added 13 points and Jeromio Blackshire had 10 points.

TJ Mckenzie led the Norse (5-2, 4-0) with 17 points, eight rebounds, five steals, three assists, and three blocks while John Hayhurst added 15 points and seven rebounds. Eric Rypstra chipped in 12 points for North Muskegon.
