The Mona Shores boys basketball team rallied from a halftime deficit and defeated Fruitport 62-54 in O-K Black Conference action on Tuesday.

The Sailors trailed 22-19 at halftime, but took control over the final two quarters.

Mona Shores had four players score in double figures. Ben Rosenthal had a team-high 18 points, Jarvis Walker scored 17 and grabbed 10 rebounds, Davarias Carter netted 11 points and Cam Eigenauer had 10 points and seven boards.

MUSKEGON 78, KENOWA HILLS 36 – The Big Reds (4-3, 2-1) led 20-7 after one quarter, 33-21 at halftime and 57-27 after three. Clinton Jefferson Jr. led Muskegon with 18 points, five rebounds and four steals. Willie Shanks added 10 points and seven boards, while Vern Nash nailed a trio of three-pointers to total nine points.

GRAND RAPIDS UNION 42, REETHS-PUFFER 34 – The Rockets couldn’t complete a fourth quarter comeback in the O-K Black contest. Reeths-Puffer was within one point late in the fourth quarter, but a 6-0 run by Union doomed the Rockets.  Emcee Williams led R-P with 11 points. The Rockets are now 3-5 on the season.

O-K BLUE

SPRING LAKE 57, SPARTA 33 – The Lakers took a 13-2 lead after the first quarter and cruised to victory in an O-K Blue clash. Spring Lake is now 6-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play. Sam Johnson led the Lakers with 14 points, eight rebounds and three blocks. Kyle Wiersma added 10 points.
