The Pentwater boys basketball team edged Big Rapids Crossroads Academy 58-51 in a close game Wednesday night.

The Falcons struggled to pull away early, leading 14-13 at the end of the first quarter but trailing 26-21 at halftime.

Pentwater then used a strong second half, scoring 37 points in the final two quarters.

The Falcons were lead by Owen Knudsen with 17 points and shooting an impressive 50% from three point range while Glen Miller scored 12 points and Ian Stewart added nine.

Pentwater is now 8-3 overall and 5-2 in conference action. The Falcons next play Brethren Friday night at home.
