The Fremont wrestling team excelled on Saturday in the Sanford-Meridian Invite, taking second place after losing to Sanford-Meridian 46-30 in the finals.

Fremont qualified for the finals by defeating Midland 79-0, Itacha 71-9, Caro 37-36, and Montabella 54-21.

Trey Breuker and Cody Routley went undefeated for the Packers while Cade Breuker, Parker Dalson, Chase Knudsen, and Kyler Kolk went 4-1 on the day.

Hart Takes First at Three Rivers super duals

The Hart wrestling team took down five opponents Saturday, defeating Coldwater 34-31, Brandywin 76-0, Three Rivers 63-18, Lawton 52-24, and Constantine 60-17.

Robbie Altland, Noah Cantu, Andrew Whitney, Jordan Mallory, Abel Vilches-Mendoza, Alex Holliday, and John Guadarrama all went undefeated for the Pirates while Jayden Vanderzwaag went 4-1.

Holton wrestilng has three place at Ravenna Lloyd Cogswell Memorial Invitational

Holton finished ninth overall on Saturday while having three wrestlers place in the event.

Jacob Farber (125) placed third overall while going 4-1 on the day while Kaiden McDonnell (171) placed fourth going 3-2 and Christian Brooks (189) took home an individual title going 3-0.

Reeths-Puffer goes 3-2 at West Ottawa Tournament

Colby Stephenson (160), Gerrit Andrus (171), Hunter McCall (189), and Brett Thomas (285) all went undefeated to lead the Rockets. Reeths-Puffer defeated Zeeland West 47-18, Wayland Union 61-12, and Holland 37-28, but lost to Rockford 44-27 and Fenton 38-36.

Jacob Blawat (112), Caleb Jensen (125), Alex Chipman (130), and Thade Radosa (145) all lost only one match for Reeths-Puffer.
