The Kent City girls basketball squad remained unbeaten in league play with a 56-24 win over Lakeview on Friday in CSAA competition.

The Eagles were paced by Kenzie Bowers with 17 points while Jenna Harrison added 11.

Kent City jumped out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter, led 36-13 at halftime and had a 48-18 advantage heading into the final stanza.

The Eagles are now 15-3 on the season and 8-0 in league play.

MORLEY STANWOOD 45, HOLTON 35- A slow start hurt the Red Devils as they fell Friday night to the Mohawks in a CSAA matchup. The Red Devils trailed 8-1 after the first, before cutting their deficit to 20-14 heading into the half. The Mohawks increased their lead going into the fourth stanza by a 36-24 margin to pull away. Kaylie Piper and Haylee Brant led the Red Devils (2-13, 1-10) with 12 points apiece.

WHITE CLOUD 57, HESPERIA 30- The Panthers trailed 19-3 after the first quarter, 32-13 at the half and 47-19 heading into the fourth. The Panthers (4-11, 1-6) received a strong contribution from Emily Bayle who stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points, nine steals and eight rebounds while Makenna Swisher added 10 points.

BIG RAPIDS 37, FREMONT 26- The Cardinals got out to a big lead in the first leading 13-4, but the Packers were able cut into their deficit and only trailed 18-17 at the break. Fremont ran out of gas during the second half, being outscored by a 19-9 margin. Natalie Jamieson led the Packers (8-8, 4-6) with nine points while Calla Miller chipped in with four steals and four assists.
