Fruitport found an extra period was what it need to secure a 41-37 overtime victory over Whitehall on Monday in a non-conference girls basketball matchup.

The Trojans were able to force OT by holding Whitehall scoreless in the fourth quarter. Fruitport outscored the Vikings 4-0 in the quarter and held a 6-3 edge in the extra period.

Fruitport fought back after trailing 14-6 at the end of the first quarter and 19-17 at halftime. The Trojans trailed 34-30 at the end of the third quarter.

Sydney Bol scored a season-high 20 points to lead Fruitport. Ellie Fisher pulled down 10 rebounds while Jaydie Hanks had six points and seven rebounds and Kennah VerMerris chipped in six points.
