Kenzie Bowers poured in 26 points, while knocking down six threes, leading the Kent City girls basketball team to a 69-25 victory over Hesperia in CSAA action on Friday.

The Eagles completed their regular season with a 17-3 overall record and a perfect 10-0 mark in the CSAA Silver.

Kent City led 28-2 at the end of the first quarter and pushed that advantage to 45-7 at halftime.

Along with Bowers’ 26-point performance, the Eagles (17-3, 10-0) got a strong night from Jenna Harrison with 20 points.

MANISTEE 56, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 42 – Grace Chandler’s 26 points were too much for the Crusaders to handle. MCC hung tough in the first quarter, and played to a 9-9 tie at the first buzzer. But the Chippewas pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring the Crusaders 19-8 and took a 28-17 lead into halftime. The Crusaders trailed 45-28 heading into the fourth quarter. Jai’lyn Johnson led MCC (11-9, 5-5) with 10 points.

JENISON 73, FRUITPORT 32 – The Trojans trailed 25-6 after the first quarter and 39-17 lead at halftime. Fruitport was led by Sydney Bol with 12 points.
