The Western Michigan Christian girls basketball team remained unbeaten in Lakes 8 play with a 58-44 victory over Muskegon Heights on Friday.

The Warriors, who are now 15-2 on the season and 8-0 in league play, were led by Anna Systema with 23 points and 10 rebounds while Madison Heiss added 18 points.

The Warriors led 17-11 after the first quarter and extended their lead to 34-19 at halftime.

Muskegon Height cut the deficit to 13 points heading into the fourth quarter but it wasn’t enough.

MANISTEE 46, LUDINGTON 32- The Orioles led 17-15 at the halftime, then struggled during the third quarter as the Chippewas outscored Ludington by a 20-6 margin to trail 35-23 heading into the fourth. Mackenzie Howe paced the Orioles (10-7) with nine points.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 54, ORCHARD VIEW 17- The contest was deadlocked at 8-8 after the first quarter before the Crusaders outscored Orchard View by a 19-1 margin during the second quarter to take a 27-9 halftime advantage. MCC extended its lead to 42-11 after three stanzas before pulling away. Lauren Doriot paced the Crusaders (11-6, 5-3) with 17 points, eight rebounds and five steals. MCC also received a strong performance from Isabelle Bertolone with 11 points and eight steals.

O-K Conference

SPRING LAKE 62, ALLENDALE 24 – A 13-point and 15-rebound performance by Madeline Zenas propelled the Lakers to a win on Friday night. Spring Lake led 24-4 after the first quarter, 41-8 at halftime and 48-19 through three quarters. Linsey Paggeot added 13 points and four assists while Phoebe Saunders and Madelyn Nelson each chipped in with 11 points apiece.

WEST OTTAWA 41, GRAND HAVEN 31- The Buccaneers couldn’t get their offense going as they fell to the Panthers Friday night. The Bucs jumped out to a 10-8 lead after the first quarter, but the Panthers outscored the Bucs 23-10 in the second and third quarters to pull away for the victory. Alli  Keyser and Autumn Buikema led the Bucs (10-6, 4-4) with 10 and nine points, respectively, while Sophie Mariani added six.

KENOWA HILLS 43, FRUITPORT 24- The Trojans trailed 12-3 after the first, 24-10 at the half, and 31-17 at the end of the third as the Knights pulled away for the win. Sydney Bol led the Trojans with nine points while Kennah VerMerris added seven points and seven rebounds.

GRAND RAPIDS CHRISTIAN 45, MONA SHORES 28 – Riley Rosenthal led Mona Shores with eight points and five rebounds while Julia Tierman added seven points and two steals. The Sailors are now 7-9 overall.
