Two local high school bowlers captured championships on Saturday at individual regional tournaments throughout the area.
Justin Wolffis of Orchard View bowled a six-game total of 1231 to claim a boys Division 3 regional championship at Park Center Lanes in Wyoming, while Zoe Cerchiori of Oakridge rolled an 1149 to win a Division 3 girls regional title at the same location.
Eighteen other bowlers also finished among the top 10 of their regionals and qualified for next weekend’s Michigan High Schools Athletic Association state finals.
The state finals will take place in four different locations. The Division 1 finals will be at Sterling Lanes in Sterling Heights, Division 2 will be at the Super Bowl in Canton], Division 3 at Northway Lanes in Muskegon and Division 4 at the M-66 Bowl in Battle Creek.

Two of my great granddaughters bowl for Oakridge 1 Zoe and 10 Morgan. We are very proud of them.
My husband and I have two great granddaughters that bowl for Oakridge. Zoe is number one and Morgan is number 10 for the state individuals this weekend March 2 and 3 at Northway Lanes.
