Kent City girls basketball team plows past Holton in Class C district semifinals

The Kent City girls basketball team pounded Holton 61-18 on Wednesday in a Class C district semifinal game at North Muskegon High School.

The Eagles led 29-4 at the end of the first quarter, 47-11 at halftime and 56-14 after the third stanza to cruise to the victory.

Kenzie Bowers led the Eagles with 18 points, while Zara Weber and Audrey Dreyer added 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Kent City will face Western Michigan Christian on Friday at 6:30 p.m. for a district title.
