The Muskegon girls basketball team cruised to a 69-37 victory over Reeths-Puffer in a Class A district semifinal game on Wednesday night.

The Big Reds led 30-18 at the half, then poured it on in the second half, outscoring the Rockets 20-10 in the third quarter and 19-10 during the fourth stanza.

Alyza Winston led Muskegon with 20 points and seven assists, while Diynasti Dowell added 18 points and eight assists. Daz’sha Day chipped in with 14 points.

Muskegon will take on the winner of Grand Haven and Mona Shores on Friday night at Grand Haven High School for the district championship.

The Rockets were led by Lauren Ross with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
