Oakridge girls ease past Fruitport, advance to Class B district semifinals

The Oakridge girls basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the Class B district tournament with a 49-14 victory on Monday over Fruitport at Orchard View High School.

Sophia Wiard paced the Eagles with 24 points and seven steals. Aaliyah Cooper added 19 points and eight rebounds.

Fruitport was led by Sydney Bol with eight points.

Oakridge now advances to play Spring Lake at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the district semifinals.
