The Pentwater girls basketball team had an easy time in the Class D district quarterfinals on Monday, beating Manistee Catholic 65-39.

The Falcons took control of the contest by scoring 25 points in the third quarter, after totaling only 21 in the first half.

Pentwater helped itself by sinking 13 of 19 free throws.

Terra Cluchey led the way for the Falcons with 14 points, three assists, five rebounds and two steals. Taylor Wilkinson added 13 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Madi Wagner chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds for Pentwater, which advances to Wednesday’s district semifinals against Mason County Eastern at 7:30 p.m.
