The Ravenna girls basketball squad won their first West Michigan Conference game since the 2014-15 season, defeating Hart 39-35 on Thursday night.

The victory snapped a 39-game league losing streak for the Bulldogs and improved their record to 2-13 on the season and 1-9 in conference play.

Ravenna trailed 11-6 after the first quarter and 17-14 at halftime, and 25-24 after three quarters before closing the contest with a 15-10 fourth quarter run.

The Bulldogs were paced by Jessica McWatters with 15 points, five assists and three assists while Megan Crowley added 15 points and eight rebounds.

The Pirates were led by Yasmin Colon with 11 points.
