A hot start propelled the Oakridge boys basketball team to a 64-45 West Michigan Conference victory over Montague on Friday.

Oakridge jumped out to a 24-9 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a victory.

The Eagles led 39-16 at halftime and 47-32 after three.

Jaxon Fri led Oakridge with 14 points while TJ Ruel scored 10.

Hunter Mosher turned in a great performance for Montague with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Kenyan Johnston added 13 for the Wildcats (7-5, 5-5).

NORTH MUSKEGON 56, SHELBY 44 – TJ McKenzie led conference-leading North Muskegon (12-1, 10-0) with 21 points, whille John Hayhusrt added 14 points and seven rebounds. Shelby was led by Tyler Schouten with 21 points.

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 52, HART 41 – A strong second half performance propelled MCC (9-4, 6-4) over Hart (3-11, 1-9). The Spartans trailed 21-20 at halftime, but outscored the Pirates 32-20 in the second half. Jeffery Carrier led MCC with 12 points, 17 rebounds and seven assists while Tyler Bromley scored a game-high 16 points. Dustin Klotz had 14 points to lead the Pirates.
