The Hesperia boys basketball team struggled during the second half and fell to White Cloud 51-45 on Wednesday in the Class C district semifinals.
The Panthers trailed 11-5 after the first quarter, then Jake Klemundt
connected on three three-point baskets during the second stanza to propel Hesperia to a 23-19 advantage at halftime.
Hesperia had a 38-33 lead heading into the fourth quarter, but the Indians closed the contest with an 18-7 run to seal the win.
Klemundt and senior Scott Peters led the Panthers with 16 points each while Logan Balkema added nine.
Hesperia ended its season with a 4-17 record overall.
