Mason County Central girls basketball squad claims Class C district title

The Mason County Central girls basketball squad cruised past White Cloud 53-38 on Friday in a Class C district title game.

The Spartans jumped out to a 15-6 advantage after the first quarter, led 28-17 at halftime and had a 44-25 lead heading into the fourth stanza.

Rachel Allen paced Mason County Central with 20 points, seven assists and seven steals while Madisen Bennett added 12 points.

The Spartans also received strong contributions from Maddy Bladzik with eight points, four steals and four assists.

Mason County Central will face host Morley Stanwood on Tuesday in the Class C regional semifinals.
