The North Muskegon boy’s basketball team downed Ludington 55-43 on Thursday in a battle of conference champions.
The Norse led by five points at halftime, extended that to 46-30 after three quarters, then held on for the victory.
North Muskegon, the champion of the West Michigan Conference, was led by TJ McKenzie with 24 points, five rebounds and three steals. John Hayhurst chipped in 14 points, with 5-for-5 shooting from the field and 4-for-4 accuracy from the free throw line.
Josh Laman had 24 points for Ludington, which won the Lakes 8 Conference title this season.
North Muskegon finished the regular season with a 17-3 record while Ludington finished 14-6.
