The Western Michigan Christian girls soccer team opened the season with a 4-1 loss to Holland Christian on Tuesday.
The Warriors were playing without two starting forwards who were out with injuries.
Chloe Mitchell scored the lone WMC goal with about eight minutes left in the contest with a shot from the top of the box.
Claudia Kingma was credited with an assist on Mitchell’s goal.
