The Muskegon Community College baseball team took a pair of wins from the Davenport College JV squad on Thursday, 4-3 and 6-1.

Brett Veltema led the MCC offense in Game 1 with two hits and an RBI. Pitcher Andrew Ngegy got the win in relief while Luis Suarez picked up the save.

In the nightcap, MCC led 2-1 until they seventh inning when they scored four runs to seal the victory. Pitcher Jake Hanson came on in relief to get the victory.

The Jayhawks are now 14-13 overall and 6-6 in conference play.
