The Oakridge and Whitehall baseball squads split a WMC baseball double header on Monday.

Luke Layman came through with a walk-off hit to lift Oakridge to a 7-6 comeback win in Game 1, then the Vikings bounced back for a 5-4 win in the nightcap.

In Game 1 the Eagles trailed 6-4 heading to the bottom of the seventh then rallied for the win. With one run already in, Layman laced a hit down the line to plate two runs and win the game. He also picked up the victory on the mound in relief.

Koleman Wall added a homer for Oakridge.

In Game 2 it was Oakridge that claimed an early lead, but Whitehall battled back for a 5-4 win.

Kayleb Venema had a double, two RBI and a run scored for the Vikings while Ethan Schaefer picked up the win.
