OV baseball wins in extra innings over Covenant Christian, turns triple play

A triple play in the seventh inning and a two-run double in extra innings led the way in Orchard View’s 6-4 baseball win over Grand Rapids Covenant Christian on Wednesday. 

Austin Anderson was the hero for the Cardinals on both sides of the plate. Anderson hit the game-winning double in the eighth inning and also picked up the win on the mound.

Orchard View (2-1) turned the triple play in the bottom of the seventh when the game was tied 4-4 to force the game into extra innings.

Mike Grinnell led at the plate for OV with two hits.
