Reeths-Puffer girls soccer posts pair of weekend wins over Union and Jenison

The Reeths-Puffer girls soccer team won a pair of O-K Black contests over the weekend.

The Rockets tallied a 6-0 win over Grand Rapids Union on Saturday and topped Jenison 3-2 on Friday.

Kendal Jones and Haley Ruiter scored two goals apiece in Saturday’s victory. Emma Dobb and Morgan Szost each added goals while Iris Herald had three assists.

The Rockets (2-1-1) overcame Jenison on Friday with three second half goals from Lexi Bolles, Haley Ruiter and Herald. Reeths-Puffer trialed 1-0 at halftime.

Goalies Lindsay Ruiter and Olivia Alvesteffer shared both wins for Reeths-Puffer making four saves in each contest.
