Fruitport girls’ tennis team guts out a tough conference win over Jenison

The Fruitport girls’ tennis team hung on for a hard-fought 5-3 victory over Jenison on Monday in O-K Black Conference action.

The Trojans pulled out the win by sweeping the singles matches, then winning the No. 1 doubles match in three tough sets.

Winning matches for Fruitport were Trinity Busscher (No. 1 singles), Haleigh Winskas (No. 2 singles), Olivia Parling (No. 3 singles), Hannah Kelly (No. 4 singles), and Ashley Welty and Emily Dirkse (No. 1 doubles).
