The Mona Shores girls’ soccer team kept its perfect season intact with an easy 8-0 win over Jenison in O-K Black Conference play on Thursday.

Sarah Mikesell had a huge night for the Sailors, scoring four goals. Nora Brown added two goals, while Julia Tierman and Caitlyn McCombs scored one apiece.

Mona Shores’ assists came from Mikesell, Bri Wade (2), Erin Powers, Peyton Erndteman,  Madelyn Anderson and Emilee Carlson.

Combining for the shutout in goal were Alexa Musk and Julia Tierman.

The Sailors are now 11-0 on the season.

SHELBY 5, GRANT 1 – Amy England scored four goals to reach 100 in her career and help pace the Tigers to a non-league victory. Lindsey Harvell also scored a goal for Shelby, which led 4-0 at halftime. Abby Jaramillio chipped in with two assist while Priscilla Salgado and Bryghton Lee added one. The Tigers are now 3-4 on the season and 1-3 in league play.

FRUITPORT 8, MUSKEGON 0 – Lauren Peterson’s three-goal hat trick led the Trojans to a shutout win on Thursday. Fruitport, which improved its record to 5-3-1 on the season and 4-1-1 in O-K Black Conference play, led 2-0 at halftime. Isabelle Raven added two goals for the Trojans, while Ellie Fisher, Jaydie Hanks and Kylie Oberlin chipped in with a goal.

FRUITPORT CALVARY 2, HOLLAND BLACK RIVER 1 – The Eagles were led by Emily May with a goal and an assist while Emily Wesner added a goal. Fruitport Calvary’s goalkeeper Reagan Payton stopped seven shots.

GRAND HAVEN 6, EAST KENTWOOD 1 – The Buccaneers were led by Alli Keyser with four goals while Jen Deer and Ellery Bylsma added a goal each. Grand Haven led 2-1 at halftime. Keyser also contributed with two assists and Deer had one. The Buccaneers are now 6-2-2 on the season and 4-2-1 in league play.
