Jayhawks softball team pounds its way to a pair of wins over Ancilla

The Muskegon Community College softball team rolled to an easy doubleheader sweep of Ancilla College on Monday, 17-0 and 19-0.

In the opener, Brooklyn Samlow had four hits for MCC, including a homer, while Hannah Smith and Mikala MacGeorge added three apiece. MacGeorge pitched the win, giving up two hits in five innings.

In Game 2, Smith had two hits and scored three runs for the Jayhawks. Pitcher Ryan Makowicki tossed a two-hit shutout in her first start of the season.
