The Grand Haven softball squad earned two victories in a doubleheader sweep on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers blanked West Ottawa 10-0 in the opener, then cruised to an 11-1 win in the nightcap.

In Game 1 for the Bucs, Madison Shumaker threw a one-hit shutout in five innings of work while striking out nine Panther batters.

Baby Hang paced the Bucs batters with three hits and two RBIs.

In Game 2, Shumaker was dominant once again allowing one run on three hits while striking out two.

Kaelyn Stafford led Grand Haven at the plate with three hits and three RBIs.

MONA SHORES 5-10, REETHS PUFFER 7-9 – Mona Shores and Reeths-Puffer split a doubleheader on Tuesday in O-K Black Conference action. In Game 1, Lauren Peterson pitched a strong outing for the Sailors, striking out seven batters. Veronica Kastelic led the Sailors at the plate with three hits. In Game 2, Madison VanEtten picked up the win for the Sailors, striking out two batters. Maddie Mettler paced the Sailor batters going 2-for-4 with a two-run home run. The Sailors are now 9-8 on the year and 3-1 in conference play.

SPRING LAKE 15-18, COOPERSVILLE 0-2 – The Lakers were able to take care of the Broncos Tuesday night, sweeping the doubleheader. In Game 1, Leah Vaughn threw a no-hitter in five innings of work, striking out 13 Bronco batters while Jenna Core led the Lakers at the plate tallying four hits, including two home runs. In Game 2, Lauren Somer picked up the victory, striking out six batters. Vaughn paced the Laker batters with three hits and six RBIs.
