Offensively, Ignacio Valdez led the Whitecaps with two RBIs which came on a home run in the fourth inning. Reynaldo Rivera also had a solo home run in the game.

West Michigan falls to 15-11 on the year and is tied with Bowling Green for second place in the Midwest League Eastern Division, two and a half games behind Lansing.

The Whitecaps will next travel to Cedar Rapids to begin a three game series at 7:35 p.m. on Friday.
