The Oakridge softball team closed out the regular season with a 4-0 victory over Grandville Covenant Christian on Wednesday.

Pitcher Kayla Fessenden tossed a complete-game victory, allowing only one hit and striking out 10.

Fessenden, Brie Pastor and Holly Wydeck each had two hits while Sophia Ward tripled.

The Eagles, now 30-5, will play Orchard View in the first round of districts on Saturday at noon.

GRAND HAVEN 9, FRUITPORT 1 – The Buccaneers defeated the Trojans in a regular-season warm-up for districts.

Madison Shumaker got the win on the mound, scattering six hits and striking out three in seven innings.

Grand Haven had 13 hits in the game. Haley Aldred led the way with three hits while Riley Rademaker and Alyssa Spencer each had two.

GRANT 12-8, RAVENNA 7-11 – The Ravenna softball team split a doubleheader with Grant on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs dropped the opener 12-7. Laney Mabrito and Maddie Peterson each had three hits for Ravenna while Grace Mayeaux added two.

Ravenna rebounded with an 11-8 win in Game 2. Peterson again had three hits in the game while Makalya Hogan pitched the victory.
