The West Michigan Whitecaps had their six game win streak snapped on Thursday with a 3-0 loss to Fort Wayne.

The Whitecap offense was limited to only five hits on the night. Garrett McCain led the way with two of the five hits.

Starting pitcher Jesus Rodriguez took the loss, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out six. Reliever Felix Viloria pitched a clean final three innings while striking out four.

The Whitecaps are now 26-20 on the year and sit in third place of the Midwest League Eastern Division, 3 and ½ games behind first place Lansing.

West Michigan will now hit the road for 10 straight games, beginning on Friday night when they travel to South Bend. First pitch is scheduled for 7:35 p.m.
